Magenta Light Studios has released the final US trailer for California Schemin’ , the feature directorial debut of James McAvoy , and this true story looks like one hell of a ride. McAvoy also executive produces and co-stars in the film, which turns the bizarre rise of real-life Scottish rap duo Silibil N’ Brains into a funny, chaotic underdog story about friendship, ambition, identity, and just how far two guys will take a lie when their careers depend on it. The movie stars Séamus McLean Ross as Gavin Bain and Samuel Bottomley as Billy Boyd, lifelong friends from Dundee determined to make it as hip-hop artists during the early 2000s.
